Day 10 B

I used heat embossing throughout this card. I added ribbon to add some color. I only had a a tree with "things" on it I didn't want showing, so I heat embossed one side of the green paper. Then I turned the paper over and stamped the tree. When I cut it out, I could turn the tree back over and expose the heat embossed side. I then added gems and a star at the top for a more festive look.
On the black mat I heat embossed the sentiment and some snowflakes.

Day 10 A

I followed the sample as closely as I could. I embossed the bkgd. Then I heat embossed the sentiment and the dots on the tag.
I liked the idea of making the template for the tag and how to get both sides even (mine were NEVER even before this). I inked around the card and cornered just the top right. I added sparkle through an ornament cut out and added color with the multi colored ribbon and the bird. I added the tag with 3D dots.

Day 9 B

I later added a framed mirror over the fireplace.

I had so much fun making this card!

I picked out some Christmas paper which had a subdued print for the "wallpaper". Then I stamped my wood grain bkgd stamp onto cream paper with brown ink for the floor.

I found a fireplace on Google and printed it twice so I could 3D the socks and bow. I 3D the rocking horse and train as well, along with the gold snowflake at the top of the glittery tree.

Day 9 A

Here is my idea of the gift card I saw on today's video. I love this style of card! I hadn't seen this one before. What fun!
I don't have those very small circle punches, so I used my gift border punch on both the card front bottom and the strip over the sentiment.

Day 8 B

I fell in love with this digital image. She reminds me of "The Little Match Girl".
I don't have copics so I colored her with pencils, added faux stitches, and matted her. I added two different papers to the base card. I put red ribbon between the two different papers. I then added the sentiment with VersaMark ink and embossing powder.

Day 8 A

I made this card in both white and gold and am still not sure which one I like better.

I used two different colors of distress ink for the bkgd then, in one I used white embossing powder and the other I used gold embossing powder, after I stamped the image with VersaMark ink.
I matted the gold on gold and the white on white. Next I used white ribbon on one and gold thread on the other. ThenI mounted both on blue, which I had colored the border with the darker distress ink. Lastly I stamped the greeting with VersaMark ink and added the matching embossing powder.

Which do you like better/

Day 7 C

Sorry, I took the picture of the card with my flash so it's a little "washed out" looking.

I used my scoring board to frame my picture and made a slit in the top to thread my ribbon through. I then added the sentiment.

Day 7 B

I used a picture I took last year of my Santa collection. I tried to make it look like a polaroid. I inked around the outside to try and make it look older and stand out some from the card. My embellishment is one I purchased.

Day 7 A

I loved this photo bookmark idea that Jennifer shared today. I found a picture from my Christmas brunch last year and made that into a bookmark. I stamped the bkgd similar to Jennifer's and stamped the sentiment. I then used my 2 3/4 " punch and my 1" punch to make the holly leaves. I added Frosted Lace Stickles because I don't have the one Jennifer used--yet!
I added red gem berries and a raffia bow (I couldn't find my twine). I really like this idea.

I am sending these out as my invitations to this year's Christmas brunch. I think the family will enjoy this project. I know I did.

Day 6 C

This is my card made from sketch # 2. I did use a CD as the pattern for the base card. The middle circle I traced from the top of my juicer and the smallest circle I cut from a stencil I have. I added the sentiment with VersaMark ink and red embossing powder. I added the sentiment and candle with 3 D dots.

Day 6 B

I used Jennifer's sketch for this card. I had just purchased some candy cane striped wrapping paper, which I used here. I had a scrap of craft paper with greetings on it, which I added. I used some two sided ribbon and then added 3 punched out, stamped, and colors circles with 3 D dots to complete the card.

Day 6 A

I started with sketch # 3. I cut the front a little shorter than the back-base card. I then stamped the outside wreath and added gems. I cut out the center of the wreath, creating a window. I stamped holly and colored and cut those out. I used VersaMark ink and white embossing powder for the greeting. I then outlined the base card with faux stitching.
On the inside I stamped a chickadee on a branch, colored that and used Distress ink to color the bkgd. I then added the sentiment across the top. I added a strip of red and gold ribbon along the outside edge--which shows when the card is closed.

Day 5 B

I tried Jennifer's bkgd. I embossed waterpaper and then used two of the new winter distress inks and then sprayed it with pearlized water. I then used Ice Spruce to color the banner and inked the edges of the circle. I also used that same color to stamp the Christmas trees. It's a real monochromatic look and very shiny in person.

Day 5 Extra Card

I just got this new stamp and fell in love. I colored it and added stickles to the corners of the window panes. I then cut out the windows around everything. I added snowflakes behind the window area and added clear vellum in back of the cut out window. Then I added it to the card base with 3 D dots. I love this card.
Inside I added: In the meadow we can build a snowman.
Not part of class, but it's a different look to check out.

Day 5 A

I copied this from today's lessons. I found a holly stamp I had, used my wood grain bkgd stamp, then cut my sentiment strip, used VersaMark ink and white embossing powder. Then I added white stitch marks with a white gel pen.
I love the simplicity and crispness of this card.

Day 4

I wasn't happy with my poinsettia from yesterday, so I tried it again today. This time I stamped it onto red paper and then added the gold gel pen. I like this one much better. I then turned the card into a newsletter pocket card. I have been wanting to use the Martha Stewart papers I just got a AC Moore's. I used the large sheet for the outside and the border sheet for the pocket inside. I left the self adhesive backing on to make the pocket more durable and usable as a pocket.

Day 3 B

I don't usually do such a busy bkgd, but wanted to try it. I outlined my poinsettia leaves in in gold and added "goldish" gems. I added gold glitter ribbon and bow.
I'm getting the winter distress ink colors today and hopefully the red with be deeper. That's what I think this card needs---more contrast.

Day 3 A

I don't have embossing folders with matching stamps---YET! So I embossed the card and then tried to use white ink just over the top of the embossing. As you can see, my first attempt is far from perfect. I cut a banner with my new Cricut cartridge-T'is the Season. I stamped the banner with a sentiment and cut a gold star from the cartridge - Joy of the Season. I then used a bkgd stamp on the inside of the card. I like this idea enough to want to try it again.
Thank you, Jennifer, for this wonderful idea.

Day 2

My friend rescued this dog and he turned out to be a great friend and helper in her garden. He always carries her basket out for her.

I turned him into Santa's helper by adding a Santa hat and presents in his basket. I added a tree with a shiny star and red gems.

Can't wait to send this card out and get my friend's reaction.

Day 1 B

Since I didn't have any of the supplies Jennifer used, I decided to try making the card with what I did have. I started by embossing the white base card. Then I used Cricut cartridge "Joys of the Season" to cut the branch. I stamped the brown paper with a wood grain stamp before I cut it. I added white gel pen light accents to the berries. I used a stamp for the Christmas ball and added gold gel pen by tracing around the stamped image. I then used some gold cord I had to drop the ball from the branch. I took out the center of the cord so that I could easily make a bow. I lastly rounded the corners.

Day 1 A

I embossed the base card and then added two paper strips. I added rick rack down the center. Then a used my dimensionals from K & Company I have been wanting to use this year. I added a 3D sentiment and rounded two corners of the card to finish the front.

pre class 2

I used Staz-on ink to stamp the jar onto clear vellum. The candy canes are another stamp. I inked the sentiment.

pre class 1

I stamped the picture and colored it. The picture and mat are raised. I added a sentiment and gem snowflakes. I had the snowflake paper left over from a previous project. I like all the blues as it gives me a feeling of winter.

I stamped the mice and flocked them.
